Cufy

Cufy.in (the "Platform" or "Service") is a college student dating/matching website designed for Indian college students. By accessing or using Cufy, you agree to these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). These Terms form a binding agreement between you and Cufy. If you do not agree to all of these Terms, please do not use the Platform. We may update these Terms at any time, and any changes will be effective as soon as we post them. Continued use of Cufy after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.

1. Eligibility

• •You must be at least 18 years old (the age of majority under Indian law) to use Cufy. Cufy is intended for college students, typically in the 18–24 age range. By registering, you confirm that you meet this age requirement and that it is legal in your jurisdiction to use this dating/matching service.
• •You should be a current college student. (Cufy is aimed at the college student community.) You are responsible for providing truthful information about your college status; note that we do not verify college enrolment.
• •You must have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement. Impersonation, fraudulent sign-ups, or using someone else's identity is not allowed.

2. Registration and Accounts

• •Account Creation: To use Cufy, you must create an account (via Google OAuth login). During registration, you will provide personal details (such as your name, Instagram handle, Gmail address, phone number, college, and dating preferences). All information you supply must be accurate and truthful.
• •One Account per User: You are entitled to one account only. You may not share your account or allow others to use it. You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account.
• •Account Security: Keep your login credentials confidential. You are responsible for any use of your account, whether or not you authorize it. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.
• •Account Deletion: You may delete your account at any time via your account settings. Once deleted, your profile will be removed from the Platform immediately. (However, note that complete removal of your messages and data may take a short time to process.)
• •Termination by Cufy: We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or engage in inappropriate behaviour. If your account is suspended or terminated by Cufy for any reason, you will not receive any refund of any paid fees or charges.

3. Service and Matching Process

• •How Matching Works: Cufy organizes users into matching rounds, each lasting 10 days. During a round, you will be matched with another user based on the preferences you provided and our AI-based matching algorithm.
• •Connection Period: Once two users are matched, they have 48 hours to start a conversation (send at least one text message). If neither initiate contact within 48 hours, the match expires and both profiles are deleted for that round. You may then join a new round by purchasing a new entry.
• •Rounds and Participation: Each round is independent. Participation in a round requires a new payment for that round. Once a round ends (either by completion or expiration), you must purchase entry again to join the next round. There are no automatic renewals or rollovers between rounds.
• •No Guarantees: Cufy does not guarantee any specific match, friendship, or relationship. The service is provided "as is." Matching results depend on user preferences and availability.
• •Chat Limitations: Cufy allows text-only messaging between matched users. Sharing media files (photos, videos, voice notes, links, etc.) is not permitted.

4. Payments and Fees

• •Paid Plans: Cufy offers paid subscription. Plan details and prices are displayed on the Platform. By purchasing a plan, you gain access to matching rounds as described above.
• •Refund Policy: All fees are final and non-refundable, except where required by law. Once you make a payment, you will not receive a refund under any circumstances (for example, if you change your mind or no longer want the service). No refunds will be provided for partially used subscription periods.

5. Account Cancellation and Data Deletion

• •User Cancellation: You may cancel or delete your account at any time using the account settings. Upon cancellation, your profile and data will be removed from the Platform promptly. We will delete your personal information from our active databases as soon as practicable after your account is closed (subject to any minimal retention needed for legal compliance or anti-fraud checks).
• •Match Expiration: As noted, if a match expires (no connection within 48 hours), the affected users' profiles are deleted for that round. They may join the next round as new participants if eligible.
• •Data Deletion: Cufy commits to not retain your personal data longer than necessary. When your account is deleted (by you or by expiration of rounds), we will permanently erase your personal data from our servers. We do not store unnecessary sensitive information (see Privacy section below).

6. User Conduct and Prohibited Content

You agree to use the Service in a safe and respectful manner. You must not post or share any content or engage in any behaviour that violates these rules. In particular:

• •Respect and Safety: Do not harass, bully, threaten, or demean any other user. Hate speech, abusive language, or content that insults or targets others based on race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or any other characteristic is strictly prohibited.
• •Illegal and Inappropriate Content: Do not upload or send any content that is illegal or encourages illegal behavior. Do not post obscene, pornographic, or defamatory material. Content that violates any third party's rights (e.g. copyright, privacy) is forbidden.
• •No Spam or Advertising: You may not use Cufy to advertise or solicit others. Sending spam, bulk messages, or commercial promotions is prohibited. Do not post links or content that promote third-party products, services, or websites.
• •Impersonation and Fraud: Do not impersonate anyone else or create fake profiles. Scams, fraud, and deceptive behaviors are not allowed.
• •Privacy Protection: Do not post personal contact information in your profile. You may not display phone numbers, street addresses, emails, bank details, or similar personal data on your profile. If you choose to share personal details with another user privately, you do so at your own risk. Cufy is not responsible for any consequences of users sharing private contact info among themselves.

Violation of any of the above rules may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account.

7. Privacy and Data Usage

• •Information We Collect: Cufy collects minimal personal data necessary to operate the Service. This includes your name, age, college, Instagram handle, Gmail address, phone number, and dating preferences.
• •Use of Data: We use your data only to provide and improve the matching service. Your data (including chat messages) is stored securely and is not used for any other purpose. We do not sell, share, or lease your personal data to advertisers or third parties. We may use aggregated, anonymized data for analytics.
• •Data Deletion: When your account is deleted or expires, your personal data will be deleted promptly. We do not retain sensitive personal information (such as government IDs, biometric data, etc.).
• •Consent: By providing your information, you consent to its collection and use as described in our Privacy Policy. We handle your information in accordance with applicable Indian data protection laws.

8. Limitation of Liability

• •No Warranty: Cufy is provided "as is," without any warranties of any kind. We expressly disclaim all warranties, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the Service will meet your requirements, or that it will be uninterrupted or error-free.
• •No Guarantee of Results: We do not guarantee that you will be matched, or that any connections you make will be successful. We do not warrant the accuracy or quality of any user profiles or messages on the Platform.
• •Limitation of Damages: In no event will Cufy (its owners, operators, or affiliates) be liable for any direct, indirect, special, incidental, consequential or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service or your interactions with other users. This includes but is not limited to damages for lost profits, goodwill, use, data or other intangible losses. You expressly acknowledge and agree that your use of the Service is at your sole risk.
• •Third-Party Content: We are not responsible for the content or actions of any users or third parties on the Platform. We do not endorse or guarantee any user's identity or profile. Any reliance on information or contacts found through Cufy is at your own risk.

9. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify and hold harmless Cufy (including its founders, officers, employees, and agents) from and against any claims, damages, obligations, losses, liabilities, costs or debt, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from: (a) your use of the Service; (b) your violation of these Terms; (c) your violation of any rights of a third party; or (d) your breach of any representation or warranty. In other words, if a third party makes a claim against Cufy related to your actions or content, you will defend and reimburse Cufy for any loss.

10. Changes to These Terms

Cufy may revise these Terms at any time. We will post any changes on the Platform with an updated "Last Updated" date. Changes become effective immediately upon posting. It is your responsibility to check for updates. Continuing to use Cufy after changes are made means you accept the new Terms. If you do not agree with the changes, you must stop using the Service.

11. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of Cufy shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in India (for example, courts located in New Delhi, India). You agree to submit to the jurisdiction of Indian courts, and waive any objection to venue or inconvenient forum in those courts.
