Reporting Someone
If you encounter unsafe or disrespectful behavior, reporting helps keep our community safe for everyone.
How reporting works
When you report someone, our moderation team reviews the issue and takes action if our community guidelines have been violated. Reports are confidential, and the person won't know you reported them.
Harassment
Offensive messages, threats, or persistent unwanted contact
Fake Profile
Stolen photos, false identity, or catfishing
Scams
Requests for money, suspicious links, or financial schemes
Inappropriate Content
Explicit photos, sexual messages, or nudity
Underage User
Someone who appears to be under 18 years old
Spam or Bot
Automated messages or promotional content
How to report a profile
Open the profile
Navigate to the profile you want to report
Tap the three dots (⋯)
Located in the top-right corner of their profile
Select Report
Choose "Report this user" from the menu
Select a reason
Choose the category that best describes the issue (harassment, fake profile, scam, etc.)
Provide details
Add context or specific examples to help our team understand the issue
Submit the report
Your report is sent immediately to our moderation team
Reporting specific messages
You can also report individual inappropriate messages:
Long-press on the message you want to report
Select "Report message"
Choose the reason (harassment, explicit content, spam, etc.)
Submit your report with any additional context
What happens after you report?
1. Immediate action
The reported user is automatically hidden from your feed and matches
2. Moderation review
Our team reviews all reports within 24 hours
3. Investigation
We examine the reported profile, messages, and chat history
4. Action taken
Depending on severity: warning, temporary suspension, or permanent ban
Your privacy is protected
Anonymous reporting: The reported user will not know you reported them
Confidential process: Your report details are only visible to our moderation team
No retaliation risk: Reported users cannot see who filed the report
Block vs. Report: What is the difference?
Block
Use when:
- • You simply do not want to interact
- • No rule violation occurred
- • Personal preference
Result: They cannot see or contact you
Report
Use when:
- • Community guidelines violated
- • Harmful or dangerous behavior
- • Fake profile or scam
Result: Investigation and potential ban
False reporting policy
Please only report genuine violations. Abuse of the reporting system can result in:
Warning for first-time false reports
Temporary suspension for repeated abuse
Permanent ban for malicious or excessive false reporting
Emergency situations: If you are in immediate danger, call local authorities (dial 100 in India) or campus security first, then report through the app.
