Managing your conversations
Once you've matched with someone, you can start a conversation and get to know each other better. Your conversations live in the chat section of your dashboard, where you can manage all your active matches.
How to start a conversation
- Go to your dashboard and open the Conversations tab
- Select a match you'd like to chat with
- Type your message in the text box at the bottom
- Click send to start the conversation
- Wait for your match to respond and keep the conversation going!
Pro tip: Make your first message personal and engaging. Reference something from their profile to show genuine interest!
Conversation features
Cufy's chat system includes several features to enhance your messaging experience:
- •Real-time messaging: See when your match is typing and receive instant notifications
- •Photo sharing: Share images to make conversations more engaging
- •Conversation history: Your full chat history is saved until you unmatch
- •Instagram sharing: For permanent matches, you can share Instagram handles to connect outside the app
Conversation etiquette
- Be respectful and kind in all messages
- Respond within 48 hours to keep the conversation alive
- Ask open-ended questions to keep the dialogue flowing
- Avoid sending multiple messages in a row if they haven't responded
- Report any inappropriate behavior immediately
Remember: Conversations are part of the temporary match phase. If both parties accept within 48 hours, the match becomes permanent and you can continue chatting indefinitely!
