Your Safety, Your Control

At Cufy, we believe you should always feel safe and in control of your dating experience. Our Block and Report features give you immediate power to stop unwanted interactions and help us maintain a respectful community for everyone.

Whether someone makes you uncomfortable, violates our community guidelines, or you simply want to move on, these tools are always available at your fingertips.

How to Block Someone

Blocking prevents someone from viewing your profile, sending you messages, or seeing you in their feed. It's instant and permanent (unless you choose to unblock them).

Open Their Profile

Navigate to the profile of the person you want to block. You can access this from your matches, messages, or their profile card.

Tap the Menu

Look for the three dots (⋮) in the top right corner of their profile. This opens a menu with various options.

Select "Block"

Choose the block option and confirm your decision. The user will be immediately blocked and won't be notified.

They're Blocked

All messages are hidden, your match is removed, and they can no longer interact with you in any way.

What Happens When You Block Someone?

Invisible to Them

Your profile completely disappears from their view. They can't find you in search or see your profile.

No Messages

All conversation history is hidden. They cannot send you new messages or see old ones.

Match Removed

Your match is instantly removed from their matches list and yours.

No Notification

The blocked person is never notified that you blocked them.

How to Report Someone

Reporting alerts our moderation team to review someone's behavior. Use this when someone violates our community guidelines, makes you feel unsafe, or engages in harmful behavior.

Access Report Option

From their profile menu (⋮) or message thread, select "Report". This opens the report form.

Choose Reason

Select the most appropriate reason: harassment, inappropriate content, fake profile, scam attempt, or other violations.

Add Details

Provide additional context if needed. The more information you share, the better we can investigate and take action.

Submit & We Review

Your report is submitted anonymously. Our team reviews it within 24 hours and takes appropriate action.

When to Report

Report users who engage in any of these behaviors:

Harassment or Bullying

Repeated unwanted messages, threats, intimidation, or any form of harassment.

Inappropriate Content

Explicit photos, sexual content, hate speech, or offensive material.

Fake Profile or Scam

Suspicious behavior, catfishing, requests for money, or fraudulent activity.

Offline Harm

Any threat of violence, stalking, or behavior that makes you fear for your safety.

Minor Safety

Anyone who appears to be underage or is soliciting minors.

What Happens After You Report?

Immediate Review

Your report is sent to our moderation team who reviews it within 24 hours. Serious violations are prioritized and reviewed immediately.

Investigation

We examine the reported profile, review message history, and check for patterns of similar behavior across the platform.

Action Taken

Depending on severity, we may issue a warning, temporary suspension, or permanent ban. We also work with law enforcement when necessary.

Follow-up

We may reach out to you for additional information if needed. Your identity is always kept confidential.

Your Privacy is Protected

All reports are completely anonymous. The person you report will never know who submitted the report or that they've been reported at all (unless action is taken against their account).

We take every report seriously and review each one individually. False or malicious reports are also investigated and may result in action against the reporter's account.
